So true, I felt very secure knowing that I can share my feelings and my troubles with my parents, especially with my mom. Although, the older I was getting, the less I would share. Still, it's priceless for a child to have such a suport growing up.

The problem also lies in the fact that parents try to live their life/dreams through their children, deciding what is right and wrong for them without really considering that they have the intelligence to decide what they want for themselves. I am an adult but still face this with my parents! I am blessed that right now I have the opportunity to be with kids almost everyday. The kind of energy they carry and the way they are always charged helps me step outside my mold and just be one of them :)
