Invocation – Get Yourself in Tune

If you have ever been to an Isha event or program, you may have heard an invocation. What is an invocation? Is it a song? A prayer? Sadhguru explains below:

Sadhguru : (After the Invocation) “So, the first question that comes to your mind, what prayer is this? Well, that’s not prayer, it’s an invocation. What is an invocation? Prayer means you’re essentially trying to talk to somebody. An invocation means you are trying to tune yourself to a particular type of activity in a certain way. For different dimensions of activity that you are about to perform, your body, your mind, your emotions, and your energies, need to perform in a certain way like this happens to you, you go home and you’re still in office mode. Trouble. Yes or no? Trouble or no? You go to the office and you’re still in home mode, trouble. Yes or no? So, getting your mind, your body, your emotions and your energies, at tune to any particular activity you wish to do at that moment to invoke your system, to bring out the best for that particular activity is an invocation. So it is not a prayer, it’s an invocation….It essentially means that you’re aspiring to move from untruth to truth."
