World Environment Day – A Tree Can Save the World!

"Trees are our closest relatives. What we exhale, they inhale. This is a constant relationship that no one can afford to live without."  – Sadhguru

Have you noticed that the summers are getting hotter every year? Rains are untimely, and floods and droughts are more common.

The increasing levels of CO2 in the atmosphere are affecting our environment. Just about everything we do adds to this: driving, using computers, cooling cars and offices. We as a generation are now more aware and concerned about this than ever before.

Today, on UNEP's World Environment Day, Project GreenHands helps you plant trees and participate in this much-needed endeavor to reduce our carbon footprint. The easiest, simplest and most effective solution is to plant trees. Unfortunately, due to hectic urban lifestyles, you may not find the space or time to plant trees and nurture them. You can know the exact location of your trees and the details of the farmer who will plant and take care of them.

All you need to do is donate about $1 per sapling. Just log on to giveisha.org/pgh to start planting trees.

Every single tree counts. A green world – together let’s make it happen!
