Field Trip to iii

On Saturday, a group of students from nearby Middle Tennessee State University, along with other local visitors, attended an Open House at iii. Many of the students are members of MTSU’s Yoga and Meditation Club, which meets weekly at the university and provides a time for students to meditate together and pursue their interest in meditation and yoga through group discussions and activities.

During the open house, the group toured the iii campus including a hike to the second bluff, enjoyed a lunch and performances by Sounds of Isha, visited the shrine, and participated in an introductory session which included Isha Kriya in Mahima.

Upon reaching the bluff, one student shared that it felt so easy and natural to sit outside and meditate there. Another student shared that he had learned Isha Kriya before, but practicing it in Mahima felt much more amazing. Everyone had lots of questions, about the food, about Sadhguru and his life, and about life at the ashram, with residents and local Isha meditators nearby ready to answer and share their experience.
