In 2010, we have completed our state-of-the-art commercial kitchen, built the open-air Dining Hall Pavilion, Cedar Building, Isha Lane upgrade, Functioning program hall restrooms, and additional private accommodations.
- Sadhguru blessed the Isha Institute of Inner-sciences (iii) with the consecration of a new shrine, situated in the Poplar building. (Summer 2010)
- A fully functional 3200 sq. ft. state-of-the-art commercial kitchen was completed in time for our first US Samyama in May 2010! Appliances include a Chinese wok, gas ranges, 40-gallon kettle boiler, wet grinder, fryer, double deck industrial convection oven, dry storage and an automated dishwashing station. (cost to date: $700,000)
- Dining Hall phase I provided us a beautiful curved roofed pavilion of massive wooden beams supported on concrete pillars. A cobblestone and grass area welcomes you at the west entrance. (cost to date: $380,000)
- 16 additional cottages are near completion offering private accommodations either for those wishing to secure these for lifetime usage or for short-term rental. (cost to date: $340,000)
- Separate men’s and women’s restrooms were constructed as part of the program complex. (cost to date: $125,000)
- The new Cedar Building houses a smaller program/Sadhana hall, a conference room and laundry facility adjacent to the lodges. (cost to date: $70,000)
- Isha Lane, about one mile long, has been upgraded providing a very comfortable and smooth drive to the center. (cost to date: $22,000)

Detroit is initiating a local fundraiser using Ebay to sell donated items worth $50. The items will be sold on Ebay for a special higher profit due to Isha’s non-profit status. Meditators are being encouraged to look for unused items in their kitchen, garage, basement, attic, under the bed, kid’s rooms, closets, or even in the barn and bring them to Sathsang each month where they will be collected and processed for selling on Ebay. Watch for updates on progress of this fundraiser and for tips on how you might wish to replicate the effort in your city.
Our fundraising efforts got off to a good start with a week-long awareness campaign about our current state of progress and our financial needs, as well as raised some funds.
