Sadhguru inaugurates Rural Hospital, Palladam

March 14, 2007 The first rural hospital to be operated by Isha Foundation was inaugurated by Sadhguru at Vavipalayam, Palladam taluk, on March 14, 2007 in the presence of D R Karthikeyan, former director of CBI. The hospital was built by a local youth association with sponsorship from various philanthropists.

Equipped with infrastructure, trained doctors and paramedical staff, the hospital will cater to the rural people of the region for a very nominal medical fee.

Lauding the efforts of the youth, Sadhguru said spirited and enthusiastic youth are the real assets of a nation and such power should be harnessed for the growth of the nation. He called upon the youth to maintain and cultivate the zeal to set up more such facilities that would contribute to the development of the society.
