Healthcare is the most important aspect of a productive and enlightened society. With Action for Rural Rejuvenation, Isha Foundation is addressing the needs of rural India. ARR has grass-root level presence in more than 4,000 villages of Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states.

Mr. Mohan, Inspector-General, Task Force, Chennai, and Mr. BB Singh, Executive Director of the Salem Steel plant, Salem, were the chief guests. Over 6,000 people participated in the function including project donors, local dignitaries, students and the general public.
The function began with the lighting of the lamp by Sadhguru. The Clinic started treatment with its first patient at 5 pm. In the following Sathsang, Sadhguru answered questions from the public who were inspired by the Master's talk.
The project's different sponsors and donors of cash and kind like Mr. Rathinam, Auditor, an Isha meditator who generously donated his land to build the hospital, were particularly acknowledged for putting social responsibility into action. The function ended with the resounding drumbeats of Sounds of Isha that heralded an important service to a needy rural population.
The hospital is open from 8 am till 9 pm every day. Additionally, emergency services are offered at night. The Clinic is equipped with laboratory facilities for investigation and diagnosis as well as a pharmacy that provides quality medicines at nominal costs. Health services will include neonatal and post-natal care, paediatric and geriatric care as well as emergency and trauma care. Regular camps involving specialists in various medical fields will also be offered at the Isha Rural Health Clinic.
