“There is only one business in the world and that is of human well-being”, said Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Founder of Isha Foundation delivering the keynote address in a special session entitled Inner Engineering: Mastering your Destiny, at the 21st India Economic Summit, in New Delhi from 27 to 29 November 2005.

A self-realized yogi and profound mystic of our times, Sadhguru is acclaimed for his exceptional perception of modern life in all its complexities, and insightful solutions to prosperity and well-being for all. Beginning his address with the fact that never before has any generation known these kinds of comforts and conveniences, Sadhguru observed that in spite of this, it cannot be said that we are any happier than our forefathers.
Observing that the world has invested hugely on external or physical well-being of people, he said that neither the governments nor the societies of the world have made any kind of investment on inner well-being of people and the result of that was the situation that though never before has any generation known the kind of comforts and conveniences that we know of today, it cannot be said that we are any happier than our forefathers.
Stating that in this nation, like no other generation before us, the leadership has the opportunity to leap-forward a large mass of humanity into prosperity and well-being, Sadhguru added that it is time to shift our focus from past glories to future possibilities. The session ended with Sadhguru answering several questions from the audience.
A speaker at the Annual Meet of the World Economic Forum at Davos, Switzerland, the World Youth Peace Summit, in Jordan and the Be the Change Conference in London in 2006, Sadhguru’s simple processes of Inner Engineering unravel the complexity of external situations using the wisdom of the internal.

The Summit was inaugurated by Mr. P. Chidambaram, Finance Minister of India and co-chaired by Jim Goodnight, Chief Executive Officer, SAS, USA; Hans-Joachim Koerber, Chief Executive Officer, Metro, Germany; Nandan M. Nilekani, President, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Infosys Technologies, India; and Sir Martin Sorrell, Group Chief Executive, WPP, United Kingdom.
Jointly hosted by the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Summit brought together over 600 participants from more than 400 companies and organizations, from 33 countries, to address and assess the unique growth experience of India under the theme: A Young and Resurgent India: Its Impact on Regional and Global Strategies.
