[Nashville]- People of all races, countries and religions are invited to attend the November 23, 1999 dedication ceremony of the Dhyanalingam multi-religious shrine and temple complex in the Velliangiri Foothills near Coimbatore, India. Persons unable to join the 25,000 expected to attend the ceremony are invited to participate in a global moment of silent meditation at 10:00 a.m., local times, to advance peace, well-being and consciousness of mankind. The ceremony will dedicate one of the world's most historic and powerful spiritual shrines to be completed in two millenniums. The Dhyanalingam structure is a physical manifestation of Divine Energy channeled through South Indian Yogi, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, as an offering to the world. All who come into the sphere of the Dhyanalingam will receive the spiritual seed of enlightenment. This powerhouse of universal energy is considered the distilled essence of yogic science beyond religious divide, and is open seven days a week throughout the year to visitors of all religions traveling to India.

The Dhyanalingam is the first sacred Lingam of its kind to be fully concentrated in over 2,000 years. Dhyanalingam is different from the Atma (Soul) Lingams built in the Hindu tradition for self-purification and worship. Such a powerful creation is possible through Divine Grace and intense spiritual work by a Grihasta Yogi (Yogi with a family) and disciples in deep states of meditation who become a doorway for Divine Energy that is absorbed and stored by the Dhyanalingam. The Divine Energy is expressed through seven chakras, whose qualities radiate powerful vibrations to benefit all who come in contact with it. The 13 feet 9 inches tall Dhyanalingam is made of a single piece of high-density granite stone. The two parts of the structure, the Lingam and the Avudaiyar, symbolize the primal power of creation of our universe. The Lingam shape is chosen because scientifically this shape is a perennial storehouse of energy. Even if the physical structure of the Dhyanalingam is removed, the powerful vibrations around it will make even those unaware of meditation to experience a state of deep meditativeness.

The Dome that encloses the Dhyanalingam is the section of an ellipse. It has been built with only traditional materials like burnt bricks and mud mortar stabilized with lime, sand, alum and herbal additives which ensures a lifetime of at least 5,000 years for the structure. The Dome measures 33 feet from the ground level and has a diameter of 72 feet 8 inches at the bottom. It weighs approximately 700 tons. The absence of any framework, ring beam centering, steel or concrete in the structure or in the construction of the Dome makes it a unique structure, perhaps the only one of its kind in the world.

Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev will dedicate the Dhyanalingam Multi-Religious Temple at a ceremony at 10 a.m. on November 23, followed by a host of cultural programs lasting until 9:00 p.m. A musical rendition on Dhyanalingam will be performed by Smt. Sudha Raghunathan. Persons of all cultural and religious affiliation worldwide are invited to attend this historic dedication ceremony to take place at the temple location on the grounds of the Isha Yoga Center, Velliangiri Foothills, Semmedu, India. People who cannot attend the ceremony are invited to participate in the moment of meditation to raise consciousness and advance peace and well being on our planet. Individuals and groups wishing to visit the Dhyanalingam are invited at any time. Yoga programs are also available at the Isha Yoga Center in India and in the United States several times a year.
