[Nashville]- Isha Foundation, an international public service organization dedicated to inner transformation as the basis for human well-being, world peace and global good will, has joined the International Council of Tourism Partners (ICTP).
ICTP's goal is to mobilize a revolution wherein freedom-loving citizens of the world band together to safeguard peace, security, and communication through tourism measures. ICTP’s belief that peace and goodwill ‘starts in every one of us’ mirrors principals expounded by Isha Foundation’s Founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, who says, "It is only through individual involvement and transformation that we can change the world."
As millions of people all across the world unite to improve the human condition, Sadhguru says the time is ripe to create harmony and cultural good will across our planet. By supporting the mission of ICTP, Isha Foundation shows its willingness to stand with world leaders in all walks of life to help initiate new possibilities for mankind. Sadhguru extended his blessings on this noble and urgent endeavor of promoting peace and communication among cultures. ICTP members also support positive resolution of tourism issues on an international platform.
Sadhguru’s programs and public appearances in India, the Middle East, Europe and America serve as a platform to introduce people to essential changes in thought and action that impact consciousness on both sides of the globe. Sadhguru makes clear the most basic understanding that responsibility for world conditions resides with each of us, and that there are no boundaries between the existence and us. When spiritual awakening touches enough people, a new worldview will prevail.
ICTP announced an overwhelming positive response to their alliance from virtually different walks of life and from different corners of the world. From small travel agencies in Nepal to worldwide governmental agencies and associations as the Universal Federation of Travel Agents Associations, ICTP garnered a diverse collection of respondents and is quickly establishing a global network of concerned freedom-loving citizens to band together and initiate the ICTP revolution. Jurgen T Steinmetz, ICTP Chairman, says "Such encouragements serve only to inspire us at ICTP to make a stronger stand in our objective to promote peace through tourism." At the time of this release, ICTP reported over 1000 members in 90 countries and territories and expanding.
The formation of strategic alliances is valued as a top priority. At this time ICTP is reviewing more than 110 projects, invitations and participation offers from around the world. Information on projects, ICTP’s mission statement and objectives can be found at www.tourismpartners.org
Sadhguru is a member of the Millennium World Peace Summit at the United Nations, from which was formed the World Council of Religious and Spiritual Leaders who support peace efforts to relieve suffering, foster harmony, and promote the dignity of all life. Alliances with international groups such as ICTP expressed Isha Foundation’s intention to offer responsibility to the peace effort and action to ease tensions and prevent international conflict. Sadhguru’s public talks around the world encourage peaceful possibilities through individual transformation. Isha Foundation events to promote peace include peace walks, mass meditations and International Day of Peace celebrations which are attended by over 50,000 people in India.
