Gautama Buddha is acknowledged as an enlightened being, whose teachings continue to guide the seeker to this day, over 2500 years after his birth. Buddha Poornima, the full moon day in the month of Vaishakh (falling in April or May) commemorates the birth, enlightenment and attainment of Mahasamadhi by Gautama Buddha and serves as a reminder to us all that we carry the same potential within us.
Isha Yoga Center celebrates Buddha Poornima with a day of sacred Buddhist chants and special offerings at the Dhyanalinga, as well as a evening and full moon meditations. The energies of this night are considered to be very conducive for one’s inner evolution.
Evening sathsangs and meditations with Sadhguru, wherever he happens to be during that time, is a much looked forward event.
