Dhyanalinga Yogic Temple is a space for meditation and strict silence is maintained in the premises of the Temple.
The Temple is open to all from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm every day. It is located 30 kms west of Coimbatore in the Isha Yoga Center at the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains. Coimbatore, a major industrial city in South India, is well connected by air, rail and road.
Naadha Aaradhana is a unique offering of sounds that takes place twice a day from 11:50 am to 12:10 pm and 5:50 pm to 6:10 pm. This etheric blend of flowing vocals, singing bowls, drums and other instruments enables one to be more receptive to the energies of the Dhyanalinga.
Aumkara Diksha is an opportunity for visitors to the Temple to be initiated into the timeless AUM meditation. This simple meditation when practiced regularly can help strengthen one's physical and mental composition and bring about tremendous balance and well being. The process is offered to the public daily from 12:30 pm to 1:10 pm.
Special events
Amavasya and Pournami Days: In the yogic tradition, Amavasya (New Moon) and Pournami (Full Moon) days are held as particularly conducive for the spiritual seeker. Any sadhana (spiritual practice) performed on these days is understood to have a greater impact on the humansystem.
On these days, visitors are invited to make personal offerings of Ksheera (milk) or Jala (water) to the Dhyanalinga. Ksheera is offered from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm and Jala from 12:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
As the energies of the new moon are especially conducive for men, the temple is open for men to meditate up to 1:00 am on Amavasya nights, and similarly, as the full moon vibrations are particularly conducive for women, the temple is open up to 1:00 am for women on Pournami nights.
