Hello Dear all,
As I am anticipating Sadhguru's program in October in my town, Los Angeles, I am thinking we have all known of pain, be it physical, mental or emotional, be it of our own or as a witness to someone else's. We watch as the events of our own lives pass us by but we also watch as humanity and the planet is going through challenging times. People everywhere struggle for justice, peace, wellbeing, health and happiness. The faces of the struggle vary but the pain is still there to different degrees.
I never liked sitting on the sidelines watching as events unfolded in a way that undermines the wellbeing of others whether it was an individual, a group or any living thing. But I always knew that saving humanity or the planet started with one person at a time beginning with me and that it had to be an inner work by the individual. And this requires certain tools and a method that works. And I was sure this was possible. It had to be, because I had always heard of, known of or read about individuals who had mastered the art of humanity and had helped others to do the same. So I knew a teacher was needed. And I knew one day I would find mine and I did.
And here we are, in the presence of a live Yogi, a Master, whose life is testament to the possibility that is now available to others. A possibility to save a planet from its peril and the humanity from its demise -- one person at a time. Sadhguru's vision to raise human consciousness speaks of an urgent need and not merely a mission statement. But for this to happen, it requires commitment and dedication; a deep and genuine commitment by us, those who have experienced what he has to offer. For with all the wellbeing that is generated in us when we do our practices, if people around us could also experience the same thing, life could be more effortless. Life and work would be more fulfilling and fruitful if the people we have to deal with on a daily basis, whether at home or the work place or our relatives and friends, all of these could also enjoy the benefits of this technology.
Raising human consciousness and bringing the wave of bliss to the west is not only possible but inevitable if we approach it with a certain level of dedication and commitment. And it is for this reason that I want to do my part by committing to sign up 10 people amongst my friends, family and coworkers for Sadhguru's Shambhavi Mahamudra Program this October & November. If each one of us commits to this now, and every new meditator in the future also takes up the same commitment for future events, then we have made this possibility into a reality.
